SIGNS OF PROBLEM GAMBLING
  • Thinks constantly about gambling
  • Increases bets to sustain the thrill
  • Exhibits agitation when cutting back
  • Chases” losses with more gambling
  • Lies to conceal their gambling activity
  • Finances bets through illegal acts
  • Jeopardizes significant relationships with family and friends
  • Relies on others to bail them out
  • Fails in their efforts to control or stop gambling
  • preoccupation with gambling (reliving gambling experiences, planning the next venture or
    thinking of ways in which to gamble)
  • needing to gamble with increasing amounts of money in order to achieve the desired
    excitement
  • trying to control, cut down or stop gambling unsuccessfully
  • felling restless or irritable when attempting to cut down or stop gambling
  • using gambling as a way to escape problems or bad moods (helplessness, guilt, anxiety, or
    depression)
